A lemon is yellow on the inside and outside. That's what you'd expect. Right?
The blueberry on the other hand? It's a surprise in each little bitty berry. The color that blueberries make in food is a wonderful lavender pinkish color compared to its dark blue, grayish, un-shiny exterior.
In a world where the lemon is predictable, I'd prefer to be a blueberry.
Here's the latest card!
I have been playing around with ice cream recipes. Then a trip to the Seymour Farmers Market had me buying some fresh blueberries with the focus of giving this flavor a go!
I want to remind you, these recipe cards are a starting point to making these foods. There's comfort food, there's comfort in food, and there's comfort in making it.
I hope you send this off to someone and let them know you are thinking of them. That's the point. Then when they make the recipe, they will think of you just a bit longer. Then when they frame it, and open it up years later, they'll see your note.
That's it.
That's what it's about.
