The Art of Lettering Art

This is an instruction focused class. Art is to be explored, if you are looking for skilled, precision work in calligraphy, this is NOT for you. My classes will focus on exploring techniques and materials and to realize the perfection in the art of the imperfections.

Since being in the graphic design, sign making, and art worlds for over 25 years, I have honed skills where all these worlds collide. "Quote signs" test both layout (composition) rules and lettering art skills. We will go over the process of lettering and letter art - by hand. Once we nail down the skills, we will produce small signs for your home or gifting with the use of color pencils in a process that resembles chalk art.
